Christmas!

We had a fun and joyous Christmas season at the Mertz home!  We enjoyed many nights out looking at Christmas lights, Christmas crafts, Christmas cookies, and lots of time trying to teach the children the true meaning of the season.

Here are some pictures of our many celebrations with family…

christmas 2Making graham cracker ginger bread houses.  Unfortunately, we live in California and due to an earthquake both of our houses were flattened not long after construction!

Again with the tripod!

We had a great Holiday!  One of the best parts was surprising our parents with the news that we are having a baby!  We put a picture of the kids in a frame with a drawing (done horribly by me) of a baby with them and a bib that said “Baby’s first Christmas” in a gift box.  It was fun watching them try to figure out what that meant!

We are looking forward to 2010 and all the new experiences that are waiting for us!
